British tourist miraculously survives 6,000ft paragliding plunge onto rocks in Turkey

A paragliding British tourist has miraculously survived a terrifying 6,000ft plunge from a mountain onto rocks.

The 27-year-old took off from the 1,800m (5,905ft) high runway on Babadag Mountain in the popular tourist resort of Oludeniz in Fethiye District, Mugla Province, south-western Turkey.

Paragliding is known for being an extreme sport where the pilot foot launches and glides off a slope, once in the air the pilot sits securely in a harness and glides.
