British tourist fell and drowned in Venice canal during holiday, inquest hears

A Bristol tourist on holiday with his partner drowned after he fell into a Venice canal, an inquest heard.

Mechanical engineer Chatchawan Thongpia, 31, is believed to have lost his balance while walking around the Italian city in the evening of 3 November 2025.
