Great Britain's Liam Broady recovered from losing the opening set to progress to the quarter-finals of the Nottingham Open. The 28-year-old is seeking to impress at this event in order to earn a main draw wildcard for Wimbledon which begins later this month.
The British number four beat Finland's Otto Virtanen in a two hour tussle 2-6, 7-5, 6-2. But the win was far from straightforward for the Brit.
Broady had his serve broken twice in the opener by the world No 306 who outhit him from the back of the court.

The second set was tight with both players holding serve until the Fin faltered whilst serving to stay in the set at 6-5. Levelling the match saw Broady go on to play with more freedom as he was roared on by a home crowd.
Two breaks of the Virtanen serve in the third set saw Broady clinch his place in the last eight as he improves on his last 16 exit at this event last year.
He will now face either Jack Sock or Geoffrey Blancaneaux in the quarter-finals and could then face fellow Brit Dan Evans in the semi-finals.
