Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has been branded a "d***head" live on TV by a British wrestler.
Sunak has come under fire after tens of thousands of NHS nurses went on strike over unfair pay, with the PM urged to sit down for talks to avoid further disruptions.
The crisis continues to hit the health service and as yet, Sunak has not relented and insists the pay rise demands are simply 'unaffordable'.
But he continues to face criticism and wrestling star Zack Sabre Jr used his platform on a major wrestling show in Japan to vent his fury at the PM.
Sabre Jr, whose real name is Lucas Eatwell, was competing in the New Japan Pro Wrestling [NJPW] Wrestle Kingdom 17 in Tokyo when he called out Sunak during his ring entrance.
“ Rishi Sunak pay nurses d***head, pay nurses a living wage!” Eatwell yelled.
Eatwell was born on the Isle of Sheppey and after calling out the PM, turned his focus to matters inside the ring. By claiming victory over Ren Narita, he became the very first NJPW World Television Champion.
It is not the first time the wrestler has been vocal in his political views, after blaming former PM Boris Johnson for a defeat. In a locker room clip, he slammed a chair into the ground, venting: "Boris Johnson is the s****ing prime minister of a real country, not a joke country, a real country!"
His latest political bashing drew praise on social media, with @mikelikessports referring to him as "the true people's champion." Meanwhile @Hefff888 added: "He's a national treasure that most of the nation aren't even aware of."
Sabre featured in the WWE in 2016 as part of the Cruiserweight Classic competition however he failed to agree terms with the leading wrestling organisation.
He has since become a leading name for British fight fans in the Far East and is clearly keen to use his platform to get an important message across.
