(Picture: AFP via Getty Images)A four-year-old “British” girl has been rushed to hospital after being found unconscious at a swimming pool in the Algarve holiday resort of Lagos.
The youngster was revived by emergency responders at the scene and hospitalised “in a serious condition”, according to local reports.
One described her as English and said the pool where the near-tragedy occurred was at a privately-owned house.
Police and firefighters, who have been credited with saving the child’s life after responding to a 999 call, were not immediately available for comment early on Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred on Tuesday.
The youngster has been taken to Portimao Hospital.
