A British couple ‘almost had their holiday ruined’ after they were charged £600 for two smoothies and a bowl of pasta at a bar in Greece. The couple are warning people not to make their mistake by falling for the ‘sunbed scam’.
Oscar Maldonado and his boyfriend claimed they were victims of Mykonos restaurant DK Oyster. The two said they were offered a free sunbed by staff if they bought a drink, reports Birmingham Live.
Oscar said: "Then they brought the menu over. It was misleading to say the least. My boyfriend had the lobster pasta. They brought us the biggest lobster, it was a pasta but with the whole part of a lobster.”

Speaking to the Mirror, he continued: "It was a big bit,I thought it may cost a lot, but I never thought that much." They said the pasta "wasn't that bad" - but not worth £344.
"I went to pay, and the guy told me the two smoothies were €65 each," Oscar said. "After that he said it was €600, then he charged €100 for service charged. I felt tempted to call the police, but I didn't want to cause any trouble."
"I was p***ed off for the rest of the day and it almost ruined my holiday. I would never go there. I would never recommend it," he added. In reviews online, fellow holidaymakers have made their views clear on the eatery.
On tourist wrote previously: “Wish we looked at the reviews before! This place is a joke! 350 euros for 4 drinks!! I would definitely NOT recommend going here. Please save your euros!!"
But DK Oyster stood by its prices, saying: “Thank you for taking the time to post your review, but could you please clarify the exact reason of your disappointment? The prices you mention sound correct, so I would like to understand what the problem was.
"The drinks were not what you expected, the setting or the service? Your opinion is important to us. So, we would appreciate it if you would take a few minutes to clarify."
