British Airways' in-flight safety videos have always notoriously featured some famous faces - and their latest update is no different.
The airline has revealed its brand new announcement complete with appearances from Emma Raducanu, Ncuti Gatwa, Little Simz, Robert Peston, Kaya Scodelario, Steven Bartlett and chef Tom Kerridge.
As well as giving the key safety information for passengers, the clip also pokes fun at iconic British features from the weather to fish and chips by the sea.
The five-minute film - which runs through all of the safety instructions delivered by cabin crew before a plane takes off - will be shown on the airline’s long-haul aircraft from 1 May 2023.
In the video,cabin crew member Sima Patel-Pryke can be seen asking customers for their attention, prompting British rapper Little Simz to take off her headphones and ask 'What?!'
Ncuti Gatwa, who rose to fame in Sex Education and is poised to play the fifteenth Doctor in Doctor Who, explains how to properly wear the seatbelt while having a new suit fit.
Meanwhile Emma Raducanu is seen lifting what appears to be a tennis bag into the overhead locker as she explains the rules around luggage storage, and Dragons Den entrepreneur Stephen Bartlett shows how to fix the belts in first class after telling his mum on the phone that he's had a pre-flight banana.
Robert Peston, who presents a political show on ITV, lets passengers know that laptops have to be stored away during take-off, snapping his own shut seemingly mid-story.
Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge implores those onboard not to succumb to temptation by trying to vape or smoke in the toilets, which are rigged up with smoke detectors.
As well as employing celebrities to get the message across, the video also features some of the Great British public.
When cabin crew member Emily Mae Jackson reminds customers that life jackets should not be inflated inside the aircraft, viewers see the instruction playfully taken out of situ with a real-life farmer near Dover and two fishermen on Deal beach in Kent all inflating their life jackets.
Calum Laming, British Airways chief customer officer, said: “We have all sat through safety demonstrations before, so we knew we needed to create something different that would capture attention and was totally in line with our British Original positioning.
"We wanted this to be a real celebration of originality and for us, it is our people who – together with where we’re from – make us unique.
"That’s why it was important for us to hero so many of our amazing colleagues doing what they do each and every day for our customers and for each other.
"We also wanted to inject some wit and showcase Britishness, and all the quirks that put us on the map by shining a light on real life people - from fishermen and chip shop workers to friends hanging out, as well as some well known faces who help put Britain on a stage.
"So, seats in the take-off position and we hope you really enjoy our new safety video.”
