British Airways passengers lose £1,000 after being denied boarding flight to see son

A Manchester couple say they’ve lost more than £1,040 after they were not allowed to board their flight from Heathrow Airport to Los Angeles. Derrick and Sheila Gordon say they are desperate for a refund so they can fly out to their son’s wedding.

The couple were due to depart on December 23, 2021, from Heathrow Airport. However, they arrived late for their connecting flight after being delayed travelling from Manchester Airport earlier the same day, due to additional immigration and customs checks, reports Manchester Evening News.

They were left upset and stressed when they arrived and they were told they could not board their transatlantic flights to Los Angeles, despite being told by the pilot that their next flight would wait for them, MyLondon reports.
