Britain's strongest man and woman fall in love and tie the knot

Meet the UK's ultimate power couple - Britain's strongest man and woman who fell in love and have tied the knot. Paul Smith, 28, holds the title of UK’s Strongest Man and his partner, Shannon, 29, won the title of World’s Strongest Woman in 2021.

The pair met in 2017 when Paul visited one of the gyms Shannon trained at, before they started to date in 2019 - and say their relationship went from strength to strength. Paul popped the question in August, 2021, next to a waterfall in the Yorkshire Dales and the pair wed on September 2, 2022, in Cyprus - and say the secret to their happy relationship is helping coach each other in the gym.

Paul and Shannon have been crowned England’s Strongest Man and Woman multiple times and are still looking to add more trophies to their collection. Paul tips the scales at 130kg and can deadlift 380kg, while Shannon weighs 64 kilos and can deadlift 222 kg.
