Britain's poshest cider tour an hour away from Bristol where celebrities hang out

The West Country is renowned across the world for its cider, so it should come as no surprise that Britain's poshest tour is just an hour away from Bristol.

Newt hotel in Bruton, near Shepton Mallet, is one of the top hotels in the country, attracting the rich and famous from far and wide.

The venue runs special cider tours where you can see for yourself how the famous tipple is made, reports Somerset Live.

You can also taste the large variety of ciders made from apples grown on the farm at the Newt.

And despite the celebrity pull, it costs just £20 for two people.

The tour celebrates Somerset as Britain's apple country, as it has the perfect soil and climate for growing apples and making cider.

It has been doing it for centuries, you can still see ancient orchards dotted around the countryside and old cider presses hanging around in old farmyards.
