Britain's Got Talent: Viewers slam The Witches act as 'boring'

Ever since first 'Witch' appeared on Britain's Got Talent, there has been intrigue sparked by the mysterious act. And now, instead of one cackling character, viewers were treated to three, in the first semi-final of the 2022 series. However, not everyone seemed to enjoy the spooky display.

In an equally creepy act to their first time on the show, a Witch rose from a chair to greet the four judges - all of whom are terrified. The audience shrieked as the scary character made their way down to the judges' table. "Come little judges, I'll take you away to a land of fear," the Witch said as she showed them a box.

The Witch proceeded to offer up the box to all the judges and make them each take out a "premonition". All took out a piece of paper with a series of creepy words on them. After David, Alesha and Simon had a go at reaching into the box, it was then Amanda's turn.

Amanda, who was on the receiving end of the Witch's audition, looked terrified as she put her hand into the box. She pulls the word, 'rodent', from inside and immediately jolts back in fear.

She nervously asked the Witch: "Is there a rat in there?" and they tell her to reach again inside the box.

Screaming in fear as she puts her hand inside the box, it is revealed that there was, indeed, a rat nestled in the cardboard. The Witch, who cackles at Amanda's pain, chases after the judge as she runs off. In a poignant line, the witch said: "What's the matter, Amanda? Rat got your tongue?"

Despite the audience seemingly enjoying the act, social media users were a little less friendly. Writing on Twitter, philm2244 put: "The witch stuff is boring"

Jed Marr, meanwhile, even went as far as slamming the act as, "the reason why [he] stopped watching Britain's Got Talent years ago"

Agreeing with Jed, Sejal said: "This witches act is s***e, shouda buzzed them"

Luckily for social media users, the Witches did not make it through to the Final and will not be performing at the Royal Variety Show.
