Britain's Got Talent viewers slam Simon Cowell and claim they're 'done' with ITV show

Fans of Britain's Got Talent are fuming with the judging panel on the ITV show, after they claim the 'best' act failed to go through on Tuesday night's episode.

The second live semi-final aired on Tuesday night, as part of a five-day long bout of episodes this week, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The episode opened up with a Back To The Future inspired video of Ant and Dec, shot outside the Hammersmith Apollo, where both the semi-finals and the final are being held in London.

The acts that featured on Tuesday night included boy magician Ryland Petty, Voices of the Armed Forces Children Choir, kid comedian Dante Marvin, Ranger Chris, Amber and the Dancing Collies and escapologist Andrew Basso.

Also performing were impressionist Ben Nickless and musical pair Flintz and Taylor, who both made it through to the Britain's Got Talent final.

Fintz and Taylor had been fast-tracked to the semi-finals by judge Alesha Dixon's golden buzzer in the auditions, and have joined up with fellow finalists Maxwell Thorpe and Jamie Leahey on Sunday night's episode.

A chance to perform at this year's Royal Variety Performance hangs in the balance for the finalists, as well as a cash prize of £250,000.

However, viewers were shocked that Amber and the Dancing Collies didn't make it to the final, as some even threatened to boycott the show after this decision.

Fans flocked to social media to discuss the decisions made on the show, as one Twitter user wrote: "What a shambles tonight was ...the dogs were the best by far...I thought the impressionist was rubbish...so disappointed..won't be watching again."

Another said: "Not watching this now, the impressionist wasnt the best, and more deserving acts were robbed of a place."

And a third wrote: "That's it.... no more bgt for me. The dogs act was the best of them all and as usual they choose wrong."

Another added: "sorry but amber and her amazing talent with her dogs deserved to go through, all acts were really good but she has talent beyond talent and deserves a final spot."

A fifth said: "I can't understand how someone who trains their dogs that well doesn't get through to the finals."

And yet more comments read: "The dog act was the best performance what a fix you wanted talent and those dogs were pure talent you screwed up bgt #BGT."

Main judge Simon Cowell was the man who faced the brunt of everybody's hate, as one Twitter user said: "Can't forgive you for that Simon. Yeah young lads good but come on.

"As a collie owner the work and commitment it takes to train a dog and they are so clever and happy. Different class. Very let down by you... #BGT."

Another said: "Best act of the night on #bgt, and what was Simon on about, saying better with one dog, I thought it was amazing."

A third wrote: "#BGT sort it out! Amber and her beautiful dogs totally deserved the put through! Simon's poor excuse of should have stuck with one dog when for years he's said more is better....... have a word with yourself mate!"

Britain's Got Talent resumes with the third of five live semi-finals on Wednesday, June 1 at 8pm on ITV.
