Britain's Got Talent fans rushed to praise a heartwarming dance act as the ITV talent show returned for a second helping this weekend. After kicking off the 16th series on Saturday night, BGT was back tonight (Sunday April 16) for a double dose of family fun.
The tears flowed over an inspirational performance from Nathan and his dance teacher Joanne who nominated him for an audition and was surprised by judge Alesha Dixon. In tear-jerking scenes Nathan was asked if he wanted to audition for the show and it was a definite 'yes' as he loves to dance. His proud mum told Alesha about her son breaking down barriers: "Children similar to Nathan are given the impression they're incapable."
The pair put smiles on faces as they performed the cha-cha-cha and danced through to the next stage of the contest. On Twitter @ESsmad3 praised: "What an amazing young man #nathan the dancer is he had me laughing and crying with his wonderful personality and he is a great dancer to his parents must be so proud of him what a true inspiration he is."

@Educ_Everything applauded: "This year's #BGT reminds me that no disability, personal circumstances, race or ability can stop one from being on stage to realise a dream." And @JHoldenfanpage said: "Omg that was spectacular Nathan and Joanne absolutely killed that performance."
They added: "Nathan danced it out of the park and his face when they got through after the judges gave them 4 yeses was lovely to see you can just see how much that meant to him." And @Champ20n5 praised: "He has to win the show."
@RyanTheSoapking wrote: "Nathan did a great job and is a true inspiration to so many people who want to learn to dance or want to achieve something." @amy_madeley tweeted: "Nathan making me cry pure happy tears." And @lookbyegeorge said: "I am in tears a fabulous watch."
@greglee91 tweeted: "I hope Nathan and Joanne win the entire show, that was brilliant! What a superstar Nathan is." And @socialmediajon1 said: "Right Nathan needs to win BGT Many thanks Everyone."
But other viewers said they were distracted by 'slo-mo' scenes during the episode including a dramatic pause at the end of Nathan and Joanne's dance. @BrightonBren asked: "What's the obsession with slo-mo on #BGT?" @MJW_F1 asked: "Why do they show the audience, judges and Ant and Dec more than the acts? Not to mention the ridiculous slo-mo shots."
@JustLeighT asked: "What’s with the pretend shock 'this doesn’t happen' rubbish and the slo-mo camera?" @gammack1998 wondered: "Nah what’s with this slow motion action? No need."
@Melonhead999 complained: "Stop with the slow motion, showing Ant and Dec and the judges, just show the bloody acts." And @Cetr40Taylor echoed: "I wish they'd stop all the slow motion."
