Britain's Got Talent fans issued a demand after an act "saved the season".
The popular ITV contest returned for another edition as the search continued for the next star to perform at the Royal Variety show. Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden welcomed a new batch of contestants, who were bidding to progress through to the live shows.
Tonight's episode featured an eclectic range of acts such as a singer, a Mexican wrestler and a dance troupe. However, viewers were particularly amazed by an Austrian acrobatic act named The Freaks.

The troupe's daring performance used members of the group as skipping ropes before catapulting them across the stage. Simon branded the person who choreographed the performance as a "genius" and David echoed his praise.
He said: "That was utterly terrifying, and thrilling and one of the most extraordinary things we've ever seen on Britain's Got Talent." The Freaks received a "yes" from each judge, and one viewer on Twitter claimed they were the highlight of the season so far.
Karl said: "They may have just saved this season of Britain's Got Talent. There’s no bigger compliment than saying that’s up there with Diversity."
However, other viewers felt they should have received the golden buzzer with one fan claiming for a change to show so the public also had the option to progress an act straight to the final.
Georgina said: "Can the public get a golden buzzer please; they so should have got one."
Pete added: "The act #thefreaks on #bgt were the best act I've seen in years on bgt. That was very very good. Deserved the golden buzzer."
Dan commented: "Why did they not get a gold buzzer!? Awesome they were!"
Pauline posted: "What no golden buzzer for the freaks? Eh?...!!!!!!"
Louise tweeted : "The Freaks should have got the golden buzzer."
