Ant McPartlin had his head bandaged by a medic backstage at Britain's Got Talent after trying to copy an act on stage.
Ant and Dec have been back at the helm once again as the massively popular ITV talent show returned for a new series over Easter weekend, 15 years since its made debut and Paul Potts won series one. The new series has given viewers plenty to talk about so far. Despite the new series only being three episodes in, there have already been three Golden Buzzers awarded.
At the end of the first Britain's Got Talent episode of 2022, Amanda Holden hit the buzzer for Loren Allred, the singer of Never Enough from The Greatest Showman, while 24 hours later, fans watching at home saw Simon Cowell set golden confetti falling as he sent comedian Axel Blake straight through to the semi finals. And last week, it was the turn of fellow judge David Walliams to hit his Golden Buzzer, with his pick, dance act Born to Perform, bowled over by his decision.

This year's BGT audition shows continue on Saturday night and, ahead of the latest episode, hosts Ant and Dec posted a video to social media, which featured rather alarming scenes of Ant needing to have his head bandaged by a paramedic. The catalyst for the 'medical emergency,' was Dec egging Ant onto copy a contestant on stage who was trying to break as many coconuts as he could in a shot amount of time.
Trying to replicate the act, Ant picked up a coconut and attempted to smash it with his fist, failing and the recoiling in pain, as a 'DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME' warning flashes up on screen. After some encouragement from a member of the BGT crew, Ant then tries with his forehead, with the outcome equally painful as Ant exclaims: "Why would you say forehead?! Because I'm bound to try it aren't I?"
As him and Dec continue to assess the situation, Dec notices his co-host's head is bleeding, remarking: "You've cut your head on a coconut," with Ant pointing at the crew member and shouting: "You said use your forehead!" A medic wearing an Ambulance uniform is then seen walking into shot to bandage Ant's head, with Ant telling him: "This is vey extreme for a little tap on the forehead," with the medic telling him he'll need a new bandage every day for the next three weeks.
At the end of the clip, a clearly undeterred Ant tries to break more coconuts with his fist as Dec tells him: "Stop doing it!" You're already hurt!"
