Britain's Got Talent's Ant McPartlin halts live show to issue apology to ITV viewers

Ant and Dec were forced to apologise to viewers at home during Sunday night's Britain's Got Talent final as an act was heard swearing.

Across the past week, acts have battled it out in five live semi-finals - with five acts put through after receiving the most audience votes and the other five voted through by the judges.

However, during Viggo Venn's act on Britain's Got Talent, viewers heard him say "Oh s***" as his performance appeared to go wrong. Ant and Dec then proceeded to remind Viggo he was live on television.

After Viggo had finished his act, Ant and Dec were due to hand over to the judges to get their reaction. However, Ant was forced to briefly halt proceedings to apologise for any 'swearing' people may have heard.

He said: "We've got to apologise for any bad language you heard during that."

Several viewers picked up on the expletive. Chelsea Hazelhurst tweeted: "Am I hearing things or did he just swear?"

User @Erdogan44 said: "Did he just swear?" @Mariahscracker tweeted: "Viggo just swore."

@OliReading said: "#BGT usually in an act like that when something goes wrong I assume it's planned but it did seem accidental in that case since he swore about it."

And @Kirstie_xxo said: "Viggo is just hilarious - the fact he said 'oh s***' - how he's actually captured the nation with his high-vis action he's even funnier on tiktok and spends all his time entertaining people in queues for #BGT."
