Britain's Got Talent's Alesha Dixon threatens to cause voting chaos as Ant and Dec take action

Alesha Dixon forced hosts Ant and Dec to take action as she threatened to cause voting chaos with a Britain's Got Talent rule break on Wednesday night.

With just days to go until the live finale of the ITV show, eight more acts stepped onto the stage, aiming to bag one of two places available. Many viewers agreed with Simon Cowell, that Wednesday's heat was the strongest of the week so far, with judge Simon causing a stir but publicly criticising the acts from a night earlier as cameras rolled.

Each Britain's Got Talent semi final features a Golden Buzzer act and on Wednesday night it was the turn of Ant and Dec' s pick, Keiichi Iwasaki to aim to follow Alesha's own choice, musical duo Fitz and Taylor, through to the final. The third live show of the week was packed full of top contenders, with dance act Dane Bates Collective, singer Tom Ball, acrobatics The Freaks, young singer Immi Davis and comedian Eva Abley also in action.

Ant and Dec sparked boos when they revealed that Immi was being sent home, before revealing that Tom had received the most votes from the public. That left the fates of illusionist Keiichi and Eva in the judges' hands and David Walliams kicked things off by giving his vote to Eva.

The decision then passed to Alesha who told the show's hosts she wanted to keep both Keiichi and Eva and, while at first it seemed like she was joking, Alesha stayed strong, saying she wanted to send both through. As Ant and Dec pushed her to pick between the two hopefuls, she complained: "How do I pick?! t's like picking between your children!"

Ant and Dec, becoming slightly frustrated as the clock ticked down to the end of the programme, forced Alesha to decide and in the end she went for Eva, with the youngster's place in the final sealed after Amanda Holden voted the same way.
