A visibly moved Alesha Dixon had some strong words of encouragement for her Britain's Got Talent act Flintz and Taylor after one of them forgot lyrics during their final performance.
The musical duo made contact with each other during lockdown in 2020 after seeing each other's videos online and they only met for the first time at their audition earlier this year. Flintz and Taylor didn't get the public vote in their semi final but the judges chose them over eventual wildcard act Amber and the Dancing Collies.
Ahead of Sunday's finale, bookies had them as 66/1 outsiders in the Britain's Got Talent winner odds, but there was plenty of support for them on social media. The duo performed an original track in the final but right near the start of the song, rapper Flintz stumbled on the words, before doing it again during an emotionally charged performance, which documented their journey so far.

Flintz looked downcast as the song ended, with Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha also tearing up on the judges' panel. Hosts Ant and Dec went to Alesha first for her critique, and becoming choked up, she looked straight at Flintz and said: "Artist to artist, it doesn't matter whatever anyone tells you tonight, you're going to feel bad and I know what that feels like.
"You're going to come off stage and you're going to beat yourself up about this. But, let me tell you something right now; what you've done, what you guys have achieved together on this show far outweighs any teeny tiny mistake up there."
As Flintz wiped away tears, Alesha added: "And I promise you this, you are going to inspire so many other kids to get out and do what they want and fight because this music industry is hard. And I'm telling you now boys, this is just the beginning."
