Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly handed out their Golden Buzzer on Britain's Got Talent tonight - but some fans dubbed it a fix.
The presenting duo ran onto stage at the end of MB14's act to press the Golden Buzzer for him and send him straight through to the semi-final. He impressed all the judges with a piece of music made entirely using a loop pedal.
However, some viewers dubbed it a 'fix' as old videos of him performing resurfaced and they learned more about his showbiz past.
The 28-year-old got off to a funny start with the four judges - Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli and Simon Cowell - where they asked how he had got there and he joked he had taken the Eurostar from France.
He was keen to impress with his song, made entirely with his voice and the help of a loop pedal. The judges watched on as he slowly built up the song step by step until it resembled a complete track, leaving everyone stunned.
The four judges couldn't believe all the sounds he was making, but when it came together, they were even more surprised and soon they were dancing along. A standing ovation followed by all the judges and Mohamed was thrilled with the reaction.
As the act ended, Ant and Dec ran from their position on the side of the stage and down to the judges' table where they pressed the Golden Buzzer together, sending gold confetti onto the stage and sending MB14 into the semi-final.
Bruno said he was "hypnotised" by the performance whilst Alesha said no one like him had ever been on the show.
MB14 appeared on The Voice in France in 2016 after being asked by producers to go on the show. He ended up finishing in second place and signed a record deal with Polydor, which he later left. He went on to compete in an All Stars version years later.
He has 35,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and previously was part of the beatboxing group, Berywam.
Fans of the show rushed to social media, calling it a 'fix' after finding out about MB14's past success.
"Another well known person auditioning for #bgt," one wrote, as a second added: "Just googled him. He has been on The voice France as a runner up. Obviously scouted #bgt #BritainsGotTalent."
A third shared: "Sooo this golden buzzer MB14 was on the voice and came second #BGT," with a fourth writing: "Just an ordinary lad with 95m views on YouTube #BGT."
Last year, Ant and Dec hit their Golden Buzzer for magician Keiichi Iwasaki. Keiichi took to the stage for his quirky magician act, in which he got Ant and Dec involved in proceedings and stunned the audience when he levitated a ring of Alesha's finger.
At the end of the performance and having bagged a full house of yeses, Ant and Dec headed onto stage to press the buzzer. However, it didn't come without controversy as he had auditioned for the show three other countries, including Italy in 2016, Bulgaria in 2021 and Spain in 2019 where he made it to the semi-finals. Keiichi also auditioned for Germany's Das Supertalent in 2021.
