Britain's Got Talent saw another judge press the golden buzzer for an act on Sunday night's show. Simon Cowell was so impressed by comedian Axel Blake that he sent him straight through to the live semi-finals.
But long before his TV joy, Axel spent time in a youth offenders’ prison describing it as a "toxic and horrible" experience. It made him turn his life around and follow his dream of becoming a comedian and is now one step closer to fulfilling that dream.
The 33-year-old had the judges and audience members in stitches with his comedy routine - so much so that he got a free pass through to the live semi-finals. Cowell told him: "After what everybody has been through these last couple of years, we needed acts like you."
