Britain's Got Talent fans claim 'real' winner was 'robbed' by Viggo Venn's victory

Britain's Got Talent fans have claimed the "real" winner of the show was snubbed after Viggo Venn was crowned the champion of this year's competition. Last night's final (June 4) saw the victorious Norwegian comedian announced as the winner after the public voted for him over his fellow finalists.

Hi-vis wearing comedian Viggo left the BGT judging panel in hysterics as her performed "One More Time", and is now due to bring his antics to the Royal Albert Hall for the Royal Variety Performance. Thanks to his talent, he also won a staggering £250,000 in prize money.

Viggo made it to the final alongside dancer Lillianna Clifton and young magician Cillian O'Connor. Presenter duo Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly announced the results to judges, the audience and viewers watching along at home as they revealed that Viggo had received the most public votes.

The Manchester Evening News reports that, as Ant told him he had "captured the heart of Britain", Viggo replied: "Not just Britain, the heart of Simon," who he brought up onto the stage to feature in his final performance. But, although Viggo had won the public's votes, some viewers were unimpressed with his victory, as they claimed that the "real" winner had been "robbed".

Instead, some fans suggested that Musa Motha should have won after the South African dancer left them in tears. The 27-year-old, who had one of his legs amputated, wowed the audience and impressed judges with his dance on one crutch.

One fan wrote on Twitter: "Musa was 100% robbed. This country is a joke #BritainsGotTalent."

"And after that shambles result, definitely time #BGT to end," claimed another. "Musa and Cillian were robbed."

A third tweeted: "Musa being robbed of a place in the top 3 over Viggo is honestly a disgrace to this show. #BritainsGotTalent."

Musa dreamt of being a professional footballer before being diagnosed with bone cancer, which left him in constant pain. As a result, he begged his mother to let him have his leg amputated when he was just 11 years old.

Ahead of the final, Musa told The Sun that his mum was swelling with pride, 16 years after his leg was amputated. "My mum won’t be attending the finals but she has seen the shows and will be watching from home," he said.

"She feels proud and blessed to see me perform."
