Britain's Got Talent faces 'fix' accusations as professional singer gets golden buzzer after audition

Britain's Got Talent viewers have accused the show of being 'fixed' - after two incidents from the first round of TV auditions over the weekend.

The show returned on Saturday evening after a two-year hiatus, with judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams again passing opinion on the various hopefuls.

But already, there is controversy surrounding the return, as the Mirror UK reports.

A number of acts took to the stage during Saturday's episode, including a dancing robot, a group of young scooter enthusiasts as well as some singers.

However, it was the final performance of the night that created the most controversy for viewers at home, as the Golden Buzzer was given out by Amanda Holden for a stunning performance of Never Enough.

It was revealed on the show that it was Loren Allred who was performing, who fans may now as the singer behind the huge hit from The Greatest Showman, which also stars Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Zendaya.

The Greatest Showman was a sensation globally, and whilst Loren doesn't appear in the movie, she did do the vocals for the iconic performance of the hit track.

As a result, she has over 400 million streams on Spotify, as well as over 300,000 subscribers on YouTube.

It left viewers a bit miffed.

"Hold up... This woman is the actual singer that sung never enough from the greatest showman. That's cheating ... That's unfair .... #BGT," one wrote, as another added: "what a bloody fix !!! Gold button s****."

Another shared: "I thought #BGT, was about discovering new talent?! what a fix!"

Whilst a third penned: "How is that fair at all sorry??? Amanda’s just said it’s her moment to shine, Amanda she’s already sang a song for a huge musical film This seriously isn’t fair #BGT."
