The Big Sing founders Gemma and Howard Francis opened up on their Britain's Got Talent experience on Monday's edition of Lorraine.
ITV's Lorraine Kelly praised the musical duo and their choir dedicated to helping people experience the joys of singing.
During their audition, judge Alesha Dixon surprised her co-stars by revealing she knew Howard and Lorraine was keen to find out more about their connection.
Howard explained: "We go back a little way I was a musical director when she was in a band called Miss-Teeq.
"I remember them very well," Lorraine injected as he continued: "That's where I know Alesha from and when she saw me at the programme she was like, 'Oh Howard!' she was totally surprised when she saw me."
"It's great she remembered," the BGT contestant added.
On Saturday, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and new judge Bruno Tonioli were left stunned by the noughties girlband star's admission.
Introducing the act, Gemma said: "We're a community choir, we're just made up of normal people who love to sing and we sing really uplifting music to make you feel good."
As Simon greeted Howard, Alesha interjected: "I actually know Howard very well."
Bruno asked Alesha how she knew the pianist and she replied: "He used to play for Miss-Teeq."
The Big Sing went on to sing Brighter Days by Emeli Sandé but it wasn't long before all four judges were dealt a huge shock when a voice appeared from the audience followed by more and more members of the crowd joining in.
At the end, one of the singers told Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly that there was a total of 350 choir members in the audience.
Praising the performance, the Miss-Teeq pop star said: "How do we sum this up? I just felt so joyful through the whole thing. Outstanding," before Amanda added: "It reminded me of the scene in Wizard of Oz where everything is in black and white and then the magic happened."
After impressing all four judges, The Big Scene were sent through to the next round.
