Britain's Got Talent Amanda Holden's racy dress sparked hundreds of Ofcom complaints

Viewers were not impressed with Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden's racy dress as hundreds of people complained to Ofcom.

The mum-of-two is known for her risqué attire, receiving both praise and harsh comments from followers online as she regularly posts images of herself before nights out or lounging around in her home. Speaking out about some of the backlash, the presenter said the show was the perfect place to "take risks" and that she hates the phrase "dressing for your age", reports the ECHO.

She also shared that her mum, Judith Harrison, told her that she "looked better than girls half her age". Amanda said: "Times have changed and I don’t feel anyone should feel pressure to dress for your age. It’s all about body positivity and feeling good."

But an £11,000 dress wore by Amanda on the popular ITV show resulted in a record-breaking 663 Ofcom complaints, as the judge took to the stage a Julian McDonald number with a plunging neckline back in 2017. Most of Amanda's chest and stomach could be seen as the outfit dropped to her navel.

Despite looking incredible, Amanda's choice amassed 663 Ofcom complaints. But Amanda refused to pay attention to the haters.

She said: "That dress was hysterical – it was Julien Macdonald. I had bits of fish wire underneath my breasts trying to hold that together. But, look, I'm from a small-chest family, plus you know I'm 48 years old. It's all quite laughable, but all everyone seems to talk about.

"It's been called another national crisis – but, oh no, I will not be covered up."

Some viewers said 'Amanda was effectively topless', while another wrote: "totally NOT suitable". Ofcom decided not to investigate the complaints.
