Former semi-professional footballer Billy Hood, who was based in Dubai, has been jailed for 25 years after police found four small bottles of harmless cannabis oil he said were left in his car by a friend.
The 24-year-old, who coached children in the UAE, said he was forced to sign a confession written in Arabic to trafficking, supplying and possession of CBD vape oil.
He was sentenced to 25 years in prison and has been held at the police station for nine months since his arrest in January.
