Brit died helping injured comrade after joining Ukraine army as a medic

A Brit landscape gardener lost his life when trying to help an injured comrade after volunteering as a medic in Ukraine and being killed on patrol.

Craig Mackintosh’s sister Lorna revealed that he had been killed in Ukraine on August 24 and a GoFundMe page has now been set up to pay for his body to be brought home.

It is believed that the 48-year-old was hit in the neck while trying to help an injured comrade in a vehicle hit by a tank shell near the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv.
