South West thermal survey firm has announced two new appointments.
First Thermal, which has its office in Bristol, has hired Matthew Snell as franchise development manager. Mr Snell who has 10 years of experiences in various roles within the franchising sector looks to franchise the business worldwide.
The business, set up to socially franchise the C.H.E.E.S.E Project, which uses a thermal survey system to reveal energy loss from homes to help combat climate disruption and fuel poverty, hopes to expand throughout the UK.
On his appointment, Mr Snell said: "After what seemed like a lifetime’s search, I found First Thermal to be the rarest of opportunities. I found an organisation that is brave enough to lead with a social purpose but is equally as commercially savvy, which is important to me as I believe that meaningful impact can only be achieved and sustained through recognisable, ethical business practices.

"I was inspired to join the team thanks to the overwhelming synergy between my deep-rooted personal values and First Thermal’s commitment to its critical mission and purpose.”
He added: "My aim for the first few months is to attract, launch and work closely with three pilot franchisees and learn the intricacies of enhanced thermal surveying first hand. I can’t wait to get started!”
Nicola Spring has also joined the team as office manager, having previously served as an operations manager for an enforcement agent and debt recovery company.
Ms Spring said: "To be able to play a part in their mission of enabling people to keep warm, save money and save the planet is truly rewarding.
“I’ll be playing an exciting role in planning our new Discovery Days, the first of which we are holding in July. These will allow potential franchisees to see what we are about, what is involved in setting up a franchise, how our thermal imaging camera surveys are performed and how they can make a real difference in their communities.”
