People walking through a popular Bristol park have been left bemused after a waterway running through it changed colour. Locals who made their way through Eastville Park earlier today (January 6) might have noticed that a stream flowing into the mighty River Frome took on a bright green hue.
In fact it was so green, you might think it more closely resembled the gunge from children's nineties and noughties TV favourite 'Get Your Own Back'. As a result, many locals found themselves questioning just what it might be, hoping it's not indicative of some sort of environmental disaster.
Ambassador for The Rivers Trust, George Cook, took to Twitter and posted the above picture to showcase this bizarre phenomenon. He said: "This stream running into the river frome in Eastville Park currently looking exceptionally green. Wasn't looking like this 20 minutes ago! @BristolAvonRT @BristolCouncil @BristolWater."
