Bristol's 'smallest house' on the market for £300,000

This unique one-bed property has got people talking and for once it’s not about the price tag attached. Located on Ninetree Hill in Bristol, this home is believed to be one of the smallest houses in the city - and inside is absolutely gorgeous. From open brick walls to crisp white walls, the property is beautifully kept.

Its narrow width has caught the attention of eagle-eyed home-hunters with one person posting an image of it on Reddit with the caption: "Smallest home in Bristol?". Arranged over three separate floors, the house has all the qualities of any of the bigger properties on the market.

As you come in the front door you walk into an entrance hall that takes up the front half of the ground floor, with three separate storage spaces as well. This perfectly shows that while this house may be smaller than others, there are still plenty of places to put stuff.

Up the stairs is the main living space where you will find an open-plan living room and kitchen. With the house not being massively wide you would think that all the rooms would feel tiny and enclosed. But the kitchen couldn’t be further from that.

Open and bright, the kitchen design makes the most of the area available and there is plenty of cupboard space for all your pots and pans. Finished in a clean white and wood effect look, there is nothing you couldn’t love about this space - there’s even a mini breakfast bar.

The brightness continues into the living room area, but this time it feels a little more cramped. With the house being so small in width, it’s no wonder the furniture currently in the property makes the space look tiny. However, the room is still stunning and has a homely feel, which is what most people want.

On the final floor, there is the bathroom and the one bedroom the house provides. The bathroom is large considering the house size and allows for a lot of light to enter the room through the massive window. The bedroom is also a decent size and features a gorgeous exposed brick wall, which people will absolutely love. Off the bedroom, this property also offers a small private balcony perfect for the long summer nights.

While the price might seem like a lot for a one-bed house of that size, people on Reddit were loving what it had to offer. One commenter said: “Say what you want about the price, but that's just really good architecture. The use of space is fantastic.”

Another wrote: “For a one-bed house I think the sizes are great. The bedroom is bigger than any bedroom in my house and the lounge is much bigger than mine too. It has character and great views. If it wasn’t for that fact that it’s a one bed I’d be tempted!”

While a third penned: “It's got much better storage than most flats at a similar cost. 3x decent cupboard rooms downstairs. Enough room for 2x bikes on the walls in one of them, that's better than in my 2 bedroom house!”
