Earlier this year it was announced that eight Bristol restaurants had been named in the running for an exciting UK-wide Uber Eats award. ASADO, Chilli Daddy, Koocha, Low and Slow Barbeque, Sandwich Sandwich, Taka Taka, Beerd Pizza and Craft Beer and Urban Tandoor were the restaurants nominated from the South West,
The awards for the UK and Ireland will crown a new culinary champion, hailed by the food service many are familiar with. And not only will the champ take away an esteemed title, the first-ever awards from the food delivery app will see the winner of the ‘Restaurant of the Year’ receive £100,000 to build and expand their business.
The South West winner has been announced as the much-loved Chilli Daddy, which were picked by a public vote. Now, the Bristol champs will be invited to the competition's judging day to cook for an all star panel including Prue Leith and Rachel Ama.
Matthew Price, Uber Eats general manager, Mark Lewis, chief executive at Hospitality Action, Lorraine Copes, founder at Be Inclusive Hospitality and Joseph Denison Carey, TV chef, will also contribute their wide-ranging expertise to the judging panel.

Brits have voted in their thousands to select the below as their winners for each region. The full list of winners includes:

- Natty's Jerk Kitchen, South East
- Burger and Sauce, Midlands + East Anglia
- Chilli Daddy, South West
- Bread Meats Bread, Scotland
- Vegan Sandwich Co, Ireland
- Love Pizza, Northern Ireland
- Picnic, North West
And, there will be 'pioneer awards' decided by the judges, alongside the grand prize. These categories include, Female Chef of the Year, Black-owned Restaurant, Sustainable Restaurant, Health-focused Restaurant and Community/Social Impact Restaurant.
