Bristol Rovers fans have the chance to own a piece of history after the Gas secured the most remarkable promotion on the final day of the League Two season.
Needing to overturn a five-goal differential to Northampton Town, Elliot Anderson's header five minutes from time to make it 7-0 against Scunthorpe United on May 7 snatched third place from the Cobblers by the virtue of goals scored.
Newcastle United loanee Anderson starred not only in the thrilling climax of the season but from the moment he made his debut at Sutton United in February. Anderson's spell in BS7 culminated in seven goals and six assists from 20 starts, coupled with the acclaim as one of the most impactful players to turn out for the Gas in recent times.
And Gasheads have the chance to win a unique piece of memorabilia to mark not only the 19-year-old's heroics in the blue and white quarters but the momentous final day of a remarkable season.
Rovers have launched a raffle to win the piece of turf from where Anderson leapt at the back post to head Antony Evans' cross into the back of the net, clinching promotion to the third tier.
Raffle tickets are on sale for £7, with all proceeds being donated to the club's community trust. Tickets are on sale until 2pm on Friday.
"Bristol Rovers' final-day promotion will never be repeated," a spokesman said. "Now you can own the exact piece of pitch that Elliot Anderson scored the crucial seventh goal from.
"The Memorial Stadium pitch has been ripped up and re-turfed ahead of next season's League One campaign – but we made sure to remove the historic piece of grass first – and now can own it for just £7. All monies raised go to the Bristol Rovers Community Trust."
