Bristol recording studio blaze causes heartbreak for bands

A fundraising campaign has been launched following a fire which ravaged a recording studio in St Jude's just 10 days ago. Omni Rooms, which is located in The Old Malt House on Little Ann Street, is run by Jodie Robinson and Jodie's partner Ty Drew has since set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money to rebuild the studio.

At the time of writing the fundraiser had raised £4,389 of its £25,000 goal, with 167 donors donating to the cause. Ty received the news that the studio had been in a serious fire, which had consumed all of the contents of the main room of the studio, which was equipped with thousands of pounds worth of equipment, structural work that Jodie had carried out for soundproofing, as well as other irreplaceable possessions.

On the GoFundMe page, Ty said: "The time, effort and energy Jodie has put into creating this space will never be able to be replaced. The sleepless nights, stress and heartache of starting a business just to see this awful event happen to take it all away when it's in full swing and thriving is completely heartbreaking.
