In eighth place, Bristol was listed as one of the most popular among British travellers, while Bath reached sixth place.
Meanwhile, the top three most popular staycation destinations, according to Google searches, were London, Edinburgh and Manchester- as Edinburgh and Glasgow were the only two cities in Scotland to have made onto the top 10 list.
Here in Bristol, the city prides itself in being the British city to be named as the European Green Capital, as well as being known for its architecture, art and sciences.
Bristol’s tourist attractions include Cargo & Wapping Wharf, Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, Clifton Suspension Bridge, SS Great Britain, Bristol Museum and Art Gallery and many, many more.
To add further intrigue, Bristol was even named Britain’s ‘kindest city’ , due to the city’s good deeds that have been well documented across the city - such as offering up seats to the elderly, donating to charity and picking up litter- as if our local hotspots weren't appealing already.
