Bristol Hippodrome has just teased the rumoured arrival of award-winning musical Hamilton to the city - and fans are already going wild. Despite there not being much information just yet, the theatre's latest post to its Instagram page has got many people excited for what could be to come.
Sharing a clip with the words 'Wait For It' written in white, against a black background - and with the 'a' in 'wait' changing to the Hamilton logo of a gold star - the Bristol Hippodrome simply captioned the post with tomorrow's date (18.4.23) and the hashtag #WaitForIt.
For those unfamiliar with the show, or its songs, 'Wait For It' is a much loved song sung by the character of Aaron Burr in the production - and it's very fitting here. It looks like theatre-goers and Hamilton fans will have to wait for more tomorrow.

But the Hippodrome looks to be hinting that the production will be stopping here in Bristol on its upcoming tour. The hit show, based on the 2004 book Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow, is a 'sung-and-rapped-through' musical written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, which was first performed back in 2015.
Telling the story of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, it has gone on to win a multitude of awards - including 11 of its 16 nominated awards at the 70th Tony Awards in 2016 and the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
On seeing the latest post, excited fans were already tagging their loved ones, with many echoing the sentiment that they "have to go" and see it. "Finally!!!" commented one on Instagram, with another adding: "IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS TO COME TO BRISTOL."
Hamilton Musical's official website currently lists Manchester and Edinburgh as the only locations on its UK tour, in November 2023 and February 2024 respectively, but it states: "Additional Cities to Be Announced Soon."
