Summer has arrived in Bristol and that means along with it will come the Bristol Harbour Festival. The city's flagship event returns to from Friday to Sunday.
And it is bound to be as exciting as ever as the festival is celebrating its 50th anniversary. To mark the big occasion will be a line-up that's just as good.
There will be nine performance areas, featuring familiar favourites and new attractions, filling one-and-a-half-miles of the city with music, vessels, food markets, circus acts, live music and performers. The amphitheatre’s Bristol Music Stage will feature Dazee, Black Roots and Doreen Doreen amongst a stellar celebration of the city’s music scene.

The Circus Playground returns to Queen Square with Cirque Bijou lining up circus and street theatre performances for all the family, while Trinity Community Arts presents Bristol Dances in Millennium Square. And it's an event fit for all the family. From circus performances to a Hula-Hooper, there's plenty to keep little ones entertained. Here are all of the child-friendly activities kids can enjoy at the weekend's event.
Loz Because and Marky Jay
Queen Square
Marky Jay and Loz Because are a stellar duo from East Bristol. They will be back at the festival this year for the entire day, bringing laughter and fun.
Circomedia Showcase
Queen Square
From 12.10pm to 12.50pm Circomedia will celebrate its Youth Circus, BTEC, foundation degree and BA students. You can discover some of the best new talent around, and welcome in the next generation of contemporary circus artists.
Khadia and Eden Contortion
Queen Square
From 2pm-2.10pm 10-year-old Khadia and 11-year-old Eden will be bringing their impressive contortion skills to the festival.
Ruby Burgees Swinging Trapeze
Queen Square
From 2pm-2.10pm you catch sight of a Bristol-based circus performer swinging through the festival on a trapeze.
Felipe Reyes Aerial Straps
Queen Square
From 4.50pm to 5pm, the Colombian artist who has performed around the globe will bring his aerial strap performance that promises to be boisterous, wild, loud and exuberant.
Threeterboarder Teeterboard
Queen Square
From 5pm to 5.20pm a teeterboard and acrobat duo will take to Queen Square.
Bright Sounds Brass Band
Queen Square
From 5.20pm to 5.40pm a Bristol-based community street band will take to Queen's Square. They will play a variety of bright, uplifting music including well-known pop tunes, New Orleans second-line tunes and tunes from around the world.
