Bristol City working to recreate Alex Scott masterstroke with signing of teen talent

Bristol City Alex Scott Ben Acey Robins Charlton Athletic

Bristol City look set to acquire Guernsey FC's most prized talent for a second time in as many years with the Robins poised to sign 17-year-old midfielder Ben Acey to the academy.

Acey has been on trial for City over the last two weeks and played 75 minutes for the Under-23s on Tuesday as they lost 2-1 to Charlton Athletic.

If terms are agreed, the teenager would follow the path of close friend Alex Scott, who joined City from Guernsey in December 2019 and has become a key first-team player this season under Nigel Pearson.
