Max O'Leary - 7
Had nothing to do in the first half but was called into action in the second period when he made a good save with his feet at the near post. A quiet afternoon but an important clean sheet.
George Tanner (off 71, Cornick) - 7
Would be wondering how his early strike didn't hit the back of the net. Linked up with Sykes superbly at times, feeding the winger in behind the defence. Ebiowei's trickery caused him one or two problems in the first half but kept him quiet in the second.
Zak Vyner - 7
Another comfortable afternoon in the heart of defence. Read the game superbly although Hull were largely toothless in attack apart from their opportunity from a corner. Impressed with the way he marshalled the backline.
Tomas Kalas - 7
Matched striker Estupinan with his pace and strength on his first start of the season. Seemingly forged an immediate partnership alongside Zak Vyner. A good game for Kalas to bolster his match fitness.
Cam Pring - 7
Industrial down the left side but had to think twice about being overly committed going forward to prevent leaving Kalas exposed. A brilliant block in the second half to deny an equaliser.
Matty James - 8
His high press caused Hull problems having won the ball back deep in City's half. Intercepted the play as effectively as ever and rarely gave the ball away in possession.
Joe Williams - 8
Made an excellent block against Christie in the first half. Full of energy in the midfield and enjoyed another good afternoon to continue his run of good form. He and James dominated the battle in the middle of the park.
Alex Scott (off 79, Weimann) - 7
Hull struggled to pick him up in that No10 position at times. Made some runs from deep into the area and was unlucky not to get on the end of a cross, especially in the first half. Was targeted with some strong challenges.
Anis Mehmeti (off 79, Dasilva) - 8
Set the tone of his performance by nutmegging his opponent after five minutes. City's best player in the first-half with flashes of brilliance to get inside the area. Remained a threat throughout and won the penalty in the second half.
Sam Bell (off 62, Wells) - 6
Slight hesitation to get a first-time shot away when played through in the first half. Worked hard but couldn't generate an opportunity despite the number of crosses coming into the area. Tough task up against Hull's two central defenders.
Mark Sykes - 7
Managed to get so much space behind his full-back with some really well-timed runs. Final ball frustrating at times but got into some excellent areas. Had a strike blocked in the second half but certainly playing with confidence.

Another excellent penalty to give City the lead and take his tally to 11 for the season. Provided more of a focal point on his introduction.

Almost had his first goal in City colours when his header was saved well at the near post.
Andi Weimann (on 79, Scott) - N/A
