Nigel Pearson admits Dan Bentley could still leave Bristol City before the transfer deadline, even in light of Stefan Bajic’s departure on loan, but should that transpire, the club will sign a replacement goalkeeper.
Bentley lost his No1 spot to Max O’Leary in October and with the 29-year-old out of contract this summer, Pearson has accepted that he could be used as transfer capital - whether that be a sale, a loan to alleviate wages, or even a trade piece - this month.
Stoke City are one club to have made an enquiry for the club captain as Alex Neil seeks a new goalkeeper but with 11 days of the window remaining, Bentley remains a City player.
