Bristol Airport is planning to hire hundreds of staff as demand for travel ramps up following the easing of restrictions.
The transport hub said it was looking to recruit more than 400 employees ahead of the summer season.
The airport will be hosting a jobs fair next month, along with other employers based at the site. It said the event would give prospective candidates the chance to find out more about the roles available including customer service, hospitality, retail, airline handling and security.
Some of the employers at the airport taking part in the event on Thursday, March 3, will be:
- security provider – ICTS;
- travel catering specialist – SSP;
- duty free shopping operator - WDF;
special assistance company, OCS;
- and brands including Swissport, DHL, Jet2, Mitie, Superdrug, InMotion, Monsoon, Hilton, Europcar, and Claire's Accessories.
Debbie Hartshorn, people director at Bristol Airport said: "As travel restrictions ease, we are now able to see the road to recovery for the aviation industry.
"With a very busy summer season ahead of us, we will be hosting our first face-to-face jobs fair since the pandemic showcasing a wide range of employers and hundreds of interesting roles to suit people with different skills and experiences.”
Ms Hartshorn said the airport was looking for people starting out in their career as well as more experienced workers.
“No two days working at an airport are the same," she added.
"If you enjoy working as part of a team, are self-motivated and take pride in a job well done, then we could have the perfect opportunity for you."
The jobs fair will be held in Lulsgate House at Bristol Airport between 12pm and 3pm.
The news comes just weeks after it was confirmed Bristol Airport's expansion plans would be allowed on appeal.
The expansion allows the airport to increase its current capacity from 10 million to 12 million passengers a year, while adding thousands more parking spaces. It is yet to hit the current cap and before the pandemic fewer than nine million passengers used the airport.
