Brisbane will attempt to bounce back from their first loss of the A-League Men season by extending Central Coast's championship hangover to a fourth game.
Ross Aloisi's Roar were stunned 5-2 by Wellington away and head to Gosford keen seeking a quick response.
The Mariners, under new boss Mark Jackson, lost their opening three games of the season while juggling their title defence with an AFC Cup campaign, including a 1-0 away win over Bali United on Wednesday.
But when asked whether he considered Sunday's game very winnable, Aloisi bluntly said: "No. Every game's hard.
"They're playing at home. They're the champions from last season. They've got some very good players in their team.
"So every game's hard. It doesn't matter whether you play at home or away.
"It matters what we do. Our performance in possession and out of possession.
"We've got to be better with the ball, create more goal-scoring opportunities again and be better defensively."
Aloisi insisted the Roar had moved forward with a "never say die attitude" and he had no plans of changing anything in response to the Wellington loss.
"I don't panic," he said.
"We're not going to change the way we play.
"We just continue to work on being the best footballers we can be and the best team we can be."
The Roar have been fast starters this season, scoring in the opening minute of their past two games, and they will attempt to kick on from that.
"It's great to have good starts, quick starts, but you want to continue that for the majority of the game," Aloisi said.
"That's where we're at, at the moment, and we're looking to improve on that."
New signing Antonee Burke-Gilroy could kick off his second stint at the Roar on Sunday, while Corey Brown and Jez Lofthouse are in the mix to make their first appearances of the season.
