Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White has teased a return to the City Ground for James Garner.
Everton midfielder Garner was part of the Forest team that got promoted from the Championship in 2021-22, scoring four and assisting eight goals in 44 league appearances that year.
He was then on loan from Manchester United, but has since joined Everton on a permanent basis and made 16 Premier League appearances last season.
Gibbs-White and Garner are England under-21 teammates and are currently celebrating glory, having won the Under-21 European Championship by beating Spain 1-0 in a dramatic final on Saturday afternoon.

Taking to his Instagram story after the match, Gibbs-White posted a selfie with Garner and fellow England teammate Angel Gomes.
With Garner in the centre of the picture, Gibbs-White added the caption: "Shall we bring him back?" and two happy-tears emojis.
Garner is fondly thought of at the City Ground, and supporters would welcome a return for the ex-loanee. He would settle in well, having worked with Steve Cooper, Gibbs-White and several other Forest players.
