Tributes have been paid to a "brilliant" employee after he died this week.
Dennis Reeves who worked for Green Sefton was described as a "popular figure" in a post by Sefton Council on Facebook. The council said they were "deeply saddened" by the news of Dennis' death.
Dennis who joined the council in the 1990s was a "highly respected and regarded member of the Green Sefton team" according to the council and Dennis "was a popular figure both with staff and the community".

The post which has over 157 likes has seen the comment section flooded with tributes for Dennis. Pauline Gillett said: "Dennis was one of a kind, patient and generous. He took the time to listen and explain things. I feel honoured to have known him. In the early days of setting up the Friends of South park, he was so helpful."
Karen Abram commented: "So sad hearing this. Known Dennis for quite a few years now through my work with Friends of Waterloo Seafront Gardens. Dennis was a brilliant support to us. He really did go the extra mile."
A post on the Green Sefton Facebook page said: "Dennis had been unwell for some time and returned to work in recent weeks having undergone continuing hospital treatment. Dennis had been with Sefton Council since the 1990s and was a highly respected and regarded member of the Green Sefton team.
"Throughout his years with the Council, he made so many friends and was a popular figure both with staff and with the community groups and individuals with whom we work. An expert at repairs, Dennis was always on hand to fix, improve and help in the borough's parks and green spaces."
"Dennis was a hard-working and dedicated member of our team, who always went that extra mile to get work done, and along the way gathered so much respect from those around him. He will be sadly missed.
"Sefton Council has relayed heartfelt condolences to his partner, Hazel, and his family."
