Manchester United's supporters lauded Luke Shaw after he played a key role in Antony's winner in Thursday night's 2-1 Europa League win over Barcelona at Old Trafford.
After finding themselves 1-0 down at the half-time interval following Robert Lewandowski's 18th-minute penalty, United knew they had it all to do after the restart. But after Fred had brought them level on the night and on aggregate just two minutes after half-time, they were the side in control, dominating proceedings and looking the more likely team to score.
After several opportunities to turn the tie on its head, United got their noses in front via substitute Antony, who curled home a superb left-footed strike from inside the penalty area. The ball broke to the former Ajax man after Fred's effort was charged down and blocked by Franck Kessie.

The Brazilian curled the ball home with a first-time effort, sparking wild scenes in the stands and on the touchline, as Erik ten Hag raised his arms aloft in celebration. Though Antony's finish was absolutely superb, much of the credit was owed to Shaw for his perseverance and determination in the build-up.
The England international refused to give up on a long ball forward from Lisandro Martinez and, without any hesitation, played a lovely back-heel to Bruno Fernandes, who charged into the box, laid the ball off to Alejandro Garnacho and the ball, eventually, landed at Antony's feet to net the winner.
