Brighton striker Evan Ferguson has unpacked why he believes Manchester City sensation Erling Haaland is the best striker around.
The Norway superstar netted a record-breaking 36 Premier League goals in his debut campaign and currently sits on 51 goals from 52 outings in all competitions. Ferguson played against Haaland for the final 38 minutes of Brighton’s 1-1 draw with the Blues last month.
The 18-year-old has himself had a brilliant season after breaking through the youth ranks to become a first-team regular. The teenager finished the campaign with 10 goals and scored his first senior international goal for the Republic of Ireland against Latvia in March.

He ended the Premier League season as the highest-scoring teenager with six strikes. Ferguson, a boyhood Manchester United fan, was full of praise for Haaland, who has chalked up five times as many club goals this campaign.
Speaking to LiveScores in Dublin, as per the Irish Post, the attacker named Haaland as “the one” who impressed him most. He added: "The season he's had in the Champions League and Premier League, there is no better one.
"He's very good. He knows when to come short, and once he comes short, his movement is behind. Once he does that, his pace is so good no one can catch him."
Ferguson was handed a fresh deal in April, just six months after signing his last one. Boss Roberto De Zerbi was eager to tie him down to the deal, which runs until 2028, to ward off transfer interest from rivals this summer.
