Melbourne Victory have received a huge stabilising financial boost, with Brighton & Hove Albion owner Tony Bloom investing as a minority partner in the A-League Men club.

Bloom, who also owns Belgian Pro League club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and has been linked to a move for Scottish club Hearts, has taken on a 19.1 per cent stake in Victory, with an ability to increase his ownership over time.
