Thiago stepped up having already opened the scoring from the penalty spot, but this time he was denied by Verbruggen at the death, as Brighton clung on to seal a 2-1 win which lifts them up to fifth in the Premier League table! They leapfrog no less than six teams with a crucial home victory, with Brentford still sat in twelfth following their fifth defeat from six games on the road this season.
