Brighton have confirmed the permanent transfer of Billy Gilmour from Chelsea on a four year contract.
The Scot has joined the south coast side for an undisclosed fee believed to be around £9million. The 21-year-old spent last season on-loan at Norwich before returning to Chelsea over the summer.
Gilmour was part of Chelsea's squad that won the Champions League in 2021 and went on to make 22 appearances for the club including standout performances against Liverpool in 2020 and Manchester City in 2021.

Upon his arrival at Brighton, manager Graham Potter said: "Billy arrives with a fantastic pedigree, having played in the Premier League and Champions League as well as for Scotland at last year’s Euros. He will complement our existing midfield options.
"That experience at quite a young age shows the strength of character he has and we’re really excited by his potential.
"Now it’s about allowing him the time to get used to a new environment and settling in to our club. We can’t wait to work with him."
Gilmour joined Chelsea as a 15-year-old from Rangers in 2017 and made his league debut for the club aged 18. He will now team up with current Blues youngster Levi Colwill who is on-loan at the Amex stadium.
