It has been more than a year since drama Bridgerton shot to fame on Netflix and proved an instant hit.
The first series of the raunchy period drama arrived on the streaming platform back in December 2020, and within a month was watched by a record 82 million households around the world, breaking Netflix records.
So it comes as no surprise that Bridgerton wasn't just renewed for another series, but a series three and four as well, after viewers fell in love with regency London debutant Daphne Bridgerton, played by Phoebe Dynevor, and the Duke of Hastings, portrayed by Rege-Jean Page.
However, the upcoming second series, released today, will focus on Daphne's eldest brother Anthony Bridgerton and his quest to finally find a bride. And while Simon Bassett, aka the Duke of Hastings, may not be making a reappearance, Phoebe will be reprising the role of Daphne with her and the Duke's baby in tow to help her older brother find a suitable wife.
Actress Phoebe was one of the standout stars of the first season and has since bag her film debut in British drama film The Colour Room, which is based on the life of 1920s and 30s ceramic artist Clarice Cliff, and she's also set to start in the new Netflix biopic, Bank Of Dave, based on the successes of self-made millionaire Dave Fishwick.
And it'd be fair to say acting is in her blood as she's the daughter of a very familiar face. Trafford-born Phoebe is the eldest daughter of Coronation Street icon Sally Dynevor.
The soap star, from Middleton, has spent 35 years playing Weatherfield snob Sally Metcalfe - nee Webster - and recently went out of her comfort zone to appear in the 2022 series of ITV skating competition Dancing On Ice.
As well as Phoebe, 26, Sally has two other children Samuel, 25, and Harriet, 18, with her Emmerdale writer husband Tim Dynevor who she married in 1995.
Phoebe started out on the BBC Rochdale-based school drama Waterloo Road. She made her TV debut in the school-based drama when she was just 14 years old.
She played the role of schoolgirl Siobhan Mailey for a year, appearing in 20 episodes in the fifth series and Bridgerton fans couldn't believe it when they realised as she looked unrecognisable.
Phoebe also starred in the BBC series Prisoners' Wives from 2012 to 2013 and Dickensian from 2015 to 2016 and from 2017 to 2021 she played Clare in the American comedy-drama Younger by Darren Starr who also created Sex and the City, Emily in Paris and the Sex and the City revival And Just Like That.
But it was her role in Bridgerton that shot her to worldwide fame and caught the eye of American comedian Pete Davidson. The pair appear to have dated for six months from February until August 2021. Back in July, Phoebe and Pete were seen looking cosy as they made their first public appearance together at Wimbledon.
The duo were reportedly in London together while the Manchester actress worked on the much-anticipated second season of Bridgerton. But The Sun reported last year that Phoebe and Pete's relationship fizzled out after their busy work schedules started making it difficult for them to see each other and since then, Pete has struck up a new relationship.
Pete, 28, a New York stand-up comic who co-wrote and starred in the semi-autobiographical comedy-drama film The King of Staten Island and is notable for his Saturday Night Live appearances, is now in a happy relationship with Kim Kardashian. Their relationship has been hitting the headlines for months and comes after the reality star and businesswoman Kim separated from US rapper Kanye West, with whom she shares her four children.
But Kim only went 'Instagram official' with her new beau earlier this month by posting a series of candid snaps together.
