Bridgerton fans can sign up for the season 2 virtual red carpet - everything you need to know

The popular Shondaland Netflix series Bridgerton has announced that it will be having a virtual red carpet ahead of the release of the second season of the series that fans can sign up to. Season two of Bridgerton will be available to watch from Wednesday, March 25.

The first season of Bridgerton was a huge success as it was viewed by some 82 million people across the globe. This series was filmed in several locations across the city of Bath.

Season two filming has reportedly returned to the city of Bath, too. It is thought to have taken most of 2021 to complete filming of season two of Bridgerton as it began in spring last year.

However, filming for the series was halted in July 2021 due to a COVID19 outbreak on set. After a period of self-isolation, filming resumed in mid-August and officially finished over the weekend of November 20, 2021.

Season 2 of Bridgerton will include new cast members including Charithra Chandran and Simone Ashley, as well as returning cast members from the first season Jonathan Bailey, Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh, Phoebe Dynevor.

Sadly, the popular actor Rege-Jean Page will not be returning for a second series of Bridgerton. The British actor proved to be a popular cast member in the first season, so fans will no doubt be sad to hear that they will not be making a return for this new season.

It has also been revealed that season two will continue to draw its plotlines from the Julia Quinn books it is based on. Season one of Bridgerton was based on The Duke and I, and season two will be based on The Viscount Who Loved Me.

The World Premiere virtual audience live stream event red carpet for season two will take place on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. To sign up for the Bridgerton season 2 virtual red carpet, sign up at bridgertonworldpremiere.com/Fans

Bridgerton fanatics will be glad to hear that seasons 3 and 4 have already been confirmed. There is also set to be a Queen Charlotte spin-off from the show.
