A bride has praised hospital staff for saving her life and getting her down the aisle just days after a rare disease left her completely paralysed.
Kathleen Swallow from Paisley in Scotland was diagnosed with the potentially deadly Guillain Barre Syndrome just two weeks before her wedding day - which had already been rescheduled five times due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Kathleen was left unable to walk or dress herself and with just days until she was due to tie the knot medics and staff at Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) pulled out all the stops to get her to the church on time.
